Hi all,  We've removed the last of the British Whites from Shawford on Thursday.  Back to the farm to get some good winter grazing.  Thanks very much for keeping an eye on them!  Grace  Grazing Team

I failed to find any cattle!!!! I hope they have been moved. I looked everywhere! Trough ok 😫😱🥲

 All 5 cows looked ok this morning, all standing and grazing across the middle of the field. The blocked off gate still holding up and the water trough was full.

Early start and beautiful sunny morning. All 5 on top of hill munching away. They were all walking too slowly to spot a limp but seem well.  Trough full and gate still cordoned off. Happy Easter 😊

 All 5 looked OK, standing and grazing and enjoying the sun. I did try and spot the lameness in 42 but wasn’t walking around enough to notice. Water trough all ok. 

All 5 munching on near side hill. Looked a bit damp. Still a few bald patches. 56 is the worst, followed by 238. Trough ok, gate still closed off ok. Have a good weekend 😊

 All 5 cows looked well, grazing and sheltering under the trees. Water trough all ok and the broken  gate still tied up.

Rainy day. All 5 cows on side of hill. Trough ok.  It seems that 3 of them now have these patches.  No 56 No I couldn’t see (ending in 17?) And no 38 It could be that they are rubbing? Or magpies? Or something else?  I hope they are ok and I look forward to seeing them again next week 😊

 All 5 cattle were grazing happily half way up on the hill. 702238 does seems to have bare patches on hind quarters both sides. Doesn’t look inflamed so maybe has just rubbed up against something. Water trough all ok and the gate that has been closed up looked alright.

Morning! It’s good to see the broken gate closed off and all 5 boys and girls still sticking to the gate side of the downs. All ok except no 56, who has a few bald patches on her left side and top of, close to front. Pinky /orange skin showing through. Trough ok, still a lot of leaves at bottom but water looked clear so didn’t disturb. Have a lovely weekend 😊

 All 5 cattle were fine, hanging around and grazing towards the bottom of the field. Water trough clear and  full.

Hi All,  We've removed 3 of the British white steers that were dropping in condition off Shawford.  5 cows remain. We've fed the remaining 5 with hay bails, just to top them over whilst there's snow on the ground. All good in good condition.  Thanks very much for keeping an eye on them! Grace Grazing Team

 All 8 cattle standing and grazing. One seems to like its own company and standing away from others under a tree. Water trough looks fine.

All cattle visible from road and seem happy. Mr fluffy ears with no visible tags did a cough while I was there. Others all eating or chewing cud. Trough looked clearer and I also took out some leaves. I’ll dk a bit more each time 😊 Have a great weekend 

 The 8 cows were all together, 7 lying down and 1 standing grazing. All seemed fine and relaxed. Water trough is ok and I cleared it out a bit. Otherwise all seemed fine.

Hi there, all 8 cows spread out a bit near entrance and up hill a bit. Trough isn’t leaking now but still hear filling. Perhaps they just drank from it? Many leaves in trough and would be good to know the best way to clean it out, is it just hands in and grab? I don’t want to make it worse. One cow (fluffy ears, no visible tag) lying down but not chewing cud, just doing nothing. This cow has a dry nose, seems ok. I made him stand and walk, all ok. I have just never seen a cow do nothing before, is that normal? Photo attached 😊 Happy weekend 

 The 8 cows were spread out across the top of the field, all grazing happily and look in good condition. The water trough was full and it wasn’t wet around it so don’t think it was leaking now.
